Associate Director, Engineering—utilities and process equipment maintenance and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership/direction to team members (incl. contractors) and develop/execute reliability and maintenance improvement strategy.
- Prioritize work based on compliance, reliability, budget, and production plan; coach/mentor and ensure training and succession planning.
- Partner cross-functionally (local/global) to design/start-up and deliver engineering, reliability, and maintenance programs.
- Lead/coordinate maintenance shutdowns and GMP cleaning; assist with master shutdown schedules.
- Own preventive maintenance and calibration programs; support daily equipment readiness for safety, compliance, and production goals.
- Conduct spare parts risk assessments and manage SAP equipment location/status and related drawings.
- Monitor and improve maintenance performance by analyzing work orders (reduce reactive work); maintain equipment ID/spec data integrity.
- Support deviation investigations; collaborate with reliability, production, automation, and vendors; manage reliability-based asset management actions.
- Monitor KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, Uptime) and ensure accuracy; lead discussions with regulatory agency/external supplier reps.

Education (Minimum):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field.

Required Experience/Skills:
- 8+ years maintenance/engineering in regulated industries (or 6 years with master’s; or 4 years with PhD), including cGMP knowledge and experience interacting with audits/inspections.

Preferred:
- cGMP knowledge for pharmaceutical/sterile/biologics; SAP plant maintenance/spare parts procurement; reliability engineering; strong communication; project management/change control/equipment qualification.

Benefits/Pay/Application:
- Eligible for annual bonus/long-term incentive (if applicable). Salary range: $142,400.00–$224,100.00; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement (401(k)), paid holidays/vacation, and sick/compassionate days.
