Associate Director, Downstream Process Development, GT-PD

Role Purpose
- Provide oversight in process and platform development, improvement/optimization, characterization, and tech transfer to support gene therapy programs/products under DQP.
- Demonstrate strong scientific and people leadership; develop strategic direction and drive operational excellence aligned to TRD vision and strategy.
Major accountabilities
- Build, lead, and advocate for the GT Process Development Downstream team; foster growth and development opportunities.
- Provide technical oversight of GT PD projects.
- Create plans and roadmaps for future state of GT Downstream (ways of working and product quality improvements).
- Lead teams and coach technical staff to deliver objectives safely and efficiently.
- Interface with cross-functional teams and clinical and/or commercial manufacturing units to support gene therapy program development.
- Maintain visibility to process and analytical development; contribute to technical assessments and program decisions.
- Serve as strategic partner/advisor to cross-functional project teams and committees.
- Author, review, and approve process development and related documents for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
- Deliver technical findings to senior leads.
- Lead solution approach by coordinating multiple resources to solve complex problems; demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness.
- Present/report at internal/external meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals (including patents).

Compensation & benefits (as stated)
- Salary expected: $145,600β$270,400/year; performance-based cash incentive; potential annual equity.
