Role Summary

Associate Director, Demand Planning โ€“ Remote based role in the United States. Responsible for the management, execution and continuous improvement of the overall demand planning process, including the approval of a realistic and aligned demand plan that correlates to the financial plan. Utilizes analytical, marketing, and sales data to estimate future product demands and generate a 36-month demand plan. Monitors and reports essential changes to sales forecasts, business strategies, and budgets. Collaborates with finance, regional/country and commercial forecasting teams and supports management with risk assessment and actions to improve demand forecasts. Oversees country/market level responsibilities via monthly demand meetings and escalation in Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP). Key member of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to translate demand into supply planning and inform make-buy decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage 36-month demand plan aligned with the financial plan.
  • Monitor changes to sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies; propose and implement solutions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Lead monthly demand reviews and address country/market escalations.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Global Supply Chain, and Operations to support IBP/ITP processes.

Qualifications

  • Required: 8โ€“10 years in modeling, demand planning, forecasting or market analysis; proven experience forecasting processes across sales, marketing operations, finance and manufacturing; Bachelorโ€™s degree in business management, supply chain, IT or related field.
  • Preferred: Supply chain/operations or forecasting certification; experience managing multiple projects; experience in a team-based environment; knowledge of AI-based demand planning and analytics.

Skills

  • Proficiency with demand planning and reporting technology tools; ability to collaborate with external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to translate data into high-level analysis and demand planning.
  • Forecasting trend prediction from past/current data; strong mathematical/statistical abilities; experience with Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Looker.
  • Ability to evaluate end-to-end supply chain impact, refine and train algorithms for analysis, and adapt business practices to leverage technology innovations.

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business management, supply chain, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Proven experience in forecasting processes across sales, marketing operations, finance and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; experience in demand and supply reconciliation within planning.
