About the role:
As an Associate Director - Data Modeling, provide data modeling subject-matter expertise to ensure high-quality analysis-ready data assets are created and utilized systematically for insight generation within R&D.

How will you contribute:
- Design, plan and implement data modeling activities based on R&D portfolio and business priorities.
- Create data mapping and harmonization specifications within the Data Modeling capability.
- Provide SME support during implementation of data mapping and harmonization.
- Identify and curate data assets/sets and transform them into AI-ready, analytics-ready datasets consumable by AI models.
- Assess, design and implement curation methodologies.
- Design and manage primary and secondary data architecture and data management.
- Provide input to assess, design and implement data-focused processes to optimize workflows, improve efficiency and audit/inspection readiness.
- Implement best practices for data processes/operations and align data strategy, governance, modeling and insight-generation.
- Develop and implement knowledge graphs; specify/document knowledge models; support governance and synchronization (observability, quality, recency); collaborate on knowledge graph products (UI/views/search, LLM-augmented RAG, gen-AI components).
- Drive assessment and development of data models (existing and new).

What you bring:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Preferred Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, or related field.
- 5–8 years’ experience in data modeling, data architecture, and process optimization in large-scale complex environments.
- Experience preparing AI-ready data; modeling for ML; harmonizing multi-source data.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses).
- Good knowledge of data governance, quality, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desired:
- Experience in pharma/healthcare/life sciences.
- Familiarity with Tableau/Power BI and Spark/Hadoop.
- Knowledge of regulatory data standards and data privacy/compliance.
