About The Role
The Associate Director of Commercial Data Management, Pipeline will lead the strategy, governance, and operations of Neurocrine’s commercial data ecosystem in support of pipeline therapies Osavampator and Direclidine.
Your Contributions (include, But Are Not Limited To)
- Lead commercial data management activities for pre-launch pipeline initiatives (Osavampator and Direclidine).
- Define, own, and execute a multi-year commercial data strategy and roadmap aligned to enterprise goals.
- Establish and govern frameworks including data governance, data purchasing decisions, operating procedures, and standards.
- Oversee budgets and contracting for data management initiatives (data licensing, 3rd-party consulting) to develop/enhance core data models.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.
- Transition pre-launch implementations to post-launch operational support.
- Partner with Field Operations, Analytics, Marketing, and IT to meet evolving business needs.
- Align data management priorities with pipeline brand strategy.
- Partner with IT to onboard key data sources aligned to enterprise architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement in data collection, management, and consumption.
- Identify, resolve, and prevent data discrepancies; improve data quality monitoring/remediation.
- Manage complex cross-functional projects for pipeline brand strategy, technology implementation, and operational enhancements.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field + 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech Commercial Operations or Commercial Data Management; OR Master’s preferred + 8+ years.
- 5+ years expert knowledge of commercial data management best practices.
- Strong understanding of commercial biopharma data ecosystem, including governance and operational processes (launch support highly preferred).
- Familiarity with tools/languages: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, SQL, Python.
- Familiarity with data sources: IQVIA, Symphony, Definitive Healthcare; specialty pharmacy/distributor data (e.g., 852/867); digital marketing data sources desirable.
- Familiarity with claims data sources: Komodo, MMIT/Norstella, Veeva Compass.
- Independently lead projects in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication skills translating technical/data insights to business audiences.
- Experience handling patient-level data; HIPAA and related regulatory requirements.
- Track record managing large cross-functional technology/data initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
