Associate Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis

Role: Associate Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, focusing on enterprise-wide financial planning, executive reporting, and strategic support. Responsibilities include leading annual budgets, long-range plans, quarterly forecasts, preparing executive presentations, consolidating financial data, supporting quarterly close activities, and conducting scenario analyses. Acting as the primary finance partner for G&A functions—Information Systems & Informatics, Finance, Legal, and People Services—and supporting company-wide planning processes. Collaboration extends to Clinical, Commercial, Partnership, and Operations Finance, with a focus on process improvements and system enhancements for FP&A tools like Anaplan. Requirements: Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or related; 10+ years FP&A experience with at least 5 years in leadership; proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and FP&A planning systems; strong communication and analytical skills; understanding of US GAAP; self-starter in fast-paced environments. Preferred: CPA/MBA, experience supporting clinical-stage biotech/pharma R&D, Anaplan, clinical trial software, and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Location: Pasadena or San Diego, CA, onsite five days/week.
