Responsibilities:
- Lead a computational sciences portfolio team across multiple biologics programs in the pre-clinical pipeline.
- Apply bioinformatics, machine learning, and AI-enabled design to improve antibody selection, design, optimization, characterization, and experimental decision-making.
- Determine when computational predictions are actionable vs qualified vs requiring additional experimental evidence.
- Partner with project teams to translate scientific questions into computational strategies and decision-ready recommendations (from binder discovery through candidate nomination).
- Communicate hypotheses, methods, results, visualizations, and recommendations in tailored, governance-ready formats.
- Coach, mentor, and develop computational scientists; foster rigor, urgency, accountability, collaboration, and impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs (12+ years) OR Masterโs (10+ years) OR PhD (8+ years) in a relevant field.
- Preferred advanced degree in computational biology/chemistry, bioengineering, biophysics, machine learning, or related field; experience applying computational methods to biologics/protein engineering/antibody or therapeutic discovery.
- 4+ years leadership experience.
- Track record influencing project decisions through rigorous analysis and clear communication.
- Ability to prioritize computational effort across competing needs and timelines.
- Experience validating/calibrating models to experimental outcomes and communicating confidence/limitations.
- Strong understanding of discovery biotherapeutics workflows from binder discovery to candidate nomination.
