Associate Director, Commercial Technology & Data Engineering

Role: Associate Director of Commercial Technology & Data Engineering at Alnylam, leading the development of scalable data and engineering capabilities to support commercial operations, analytics, digital engagement, and AI insights. Responsibilities include defining and executing the commercial data strategy, building data foundations and products, ensuring data governance and compliance with pharma regulations (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR), and overseeing platform integrations for CRM, Patient Services, and omnichannel engagement. The role manages a multidisciplinary team of 6-12 engineers, leading Agile delivery, and collaborating with platform, enterprise architecture, and AI teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related, 10+ years in data/software/platform engineering with 5+ years leading teams, 4+ years building data pipelines and platform integrations in pharma or life sciences, with expertise in Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, cloud orchestration, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva). Preferred: experience with omnichannel marketing, patient services, real-time personalization, AI/LLM tools, and cloud certifications. High-Value: focus on commercial data, regulated pharma environment, cloud-native tech stack, and cross-functional collaboration within a hybrid Cambridge, MA setup with infrequent travel.
