Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Apply data science expertise for AI and advanced analytics across Commercial use cases such as forecasting, targeting, segmentation, personalization, omnichannel engagement, and commercial optimization.
- Provide technical expertise in Generative AI applications for field, marketing, and operations teams (e.g., pre-call planning, content generation/market research, knowledge summarization/search).
- Evaluate technical quality of AI solutions, including (where applicable) LLM strategy, solution architecture, model design, featurization, data requirements, validation approaches, explainability, monitoring, and scalability.
- Review and challenge analytical approaches, assumptions, and outputs from internal teams and external vendors to ensure rigor, trust, and compliance.
- Support build vs. buy assessments for commercial AI capabilities (time to value, cost, scalability, extensibility, vendor dependency, long-term ownership).
- Participate in technical due diligence of vendor solutions (methodologies, data usage, solution transparency, operational readiness).
- Contribute technical recommendations to inform investment and implementation decisions; evaluate build vs. buy frameworks.
- Support prioritization of commercial AI initiatives (feasibility, data readiness, complexity, adoption readiness, business impact).
- Define success metrics with stakeholders; ensure measurable value delivery.
- Define pilot/MVP solutions, confirm value measurement, and define supporting process changes.
- Identify opportunities to reuse/standardize/scale AI capabilities across brands/markets/functions.
- Stay hands-on as needed (experimentation design, feature engineering, analytical pipelines).
- Apply best practices (model validation, bias assessment, explainability, documentation for regulated environments).
- Partner with Commercial, Data Engineering, Architecture, Security, Privacy, and Compliance to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions.
- Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders; ensure alignment with enterprise data/AI/security/governance standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Solid understanding of machine learning, model evaluation, and real-world deployment.
- Experience evaluating third-party AI solutions vs. internal approaches.
- Experience in regulated environments (privacy, compliance, explainability).
- Strong communication/collaboration; can influence without formal authority.
- Experience supporting AI initiatives in matrixed enterprises.
- Experience with commercial data sources (CRM, claims, promotional, digital engagement).

Education
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced training/experience in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Social science (quantitative psych/sociology/economics), or related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.

US Benefits/Compensation (if applicable)
- Base pay range: $153,600.00–$230,400.00
- Possible annual cash bonus/incentive and discretionary equity grants.
