Position Summary:
Associate Director, Collaboration & Web Services (M365 Platform Lead) responsible for Travereโs employee-facing Microsoft 365 collaboration environment (SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, corporate intranet, enterprise search/findability, and selected Microsoft Viva).
Responsibilities:
- Own long-term strategy/architecture/roadmap/operating model for SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, intranet, enterprise search, and Viva.
- Lead Teams platform strategy and adoption (chat/channels, meetings, guest/external collaboration); coordinate policies with telephony/calling/meeting-room teams.
- Hands-on engineering and advanced troubleshooting; oversee Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for scale and validate their delivery.
- Product owner for intranet + enterprise search (backlogs/releases, information architecture, templates, taxonomy, search configuration, publishing standards, content ownership, employee experience).
- Establish governance/identity & access/lifecycle/records + information protection standards; support regulated requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, Sarbanes-Oxley, privacy, Enterprise Risk Management).
- Lead migration modernization (e.g., Egnyte-to-SharePoint cleanup) and drive adoption.
- Translate business needs into recommendations; coordinate training/change management and support site owners/team owners/champions.
- Direct vendor/MSP delivery (SOWs, service levels, change control, escalations, knowledge transfer) while maintaining technical ownership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs in IT/CS/IS/Business (or equivalent).
- 8+ years in enterprise collaboration/digital workplace/M365/content management.
- Proven hands-on technical lead for Microsoft 365 collaboration.
Skills/Requirements (preferred):
- Deep knowledge: SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups, Entra ID, enterprise search, information architecture, external sharing, lifecycle, Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with SharePoint Advanced Management, Viva, Power Platform governance, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Framework, PnP tooling/automation/modern site provisioning; regulated-industry preferred.
- Strong executive communication, collaboration, problem-solving; ability to manage shifting priorities; travel up to 10%.
- Onsite in San Diego required (not 100% remote).
