Associate Director, Clinical Trial Start-Up

Role: Associate Director, Study Start Up Strategy, leading global clinical trial start-up processes in oncology and neuroscience indications for Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities: develop and oversee country/site activation plans, leverage analytics and data to optimize protocols and mitigate operational risks, and lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and CROs. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, improve start-up methodologies, and support audit readiness. Oversee CRO/vendor performance and contribute to process improvements. Qualifications: bachelor’s in life sciences with 8-10 years in clinical research, including 5+ years in trial startup or site activation; strong operational understanding of global regulatory requirements; proficiency in CTMS and SSU tech platforms; leadership and cross-functional decision-making skills. Preferred: advanced degree, experience with digital and AI technologies in SSU, and international travel (10-20%).
