Associate Director - Clinical Data Lead

Purpose
- Technical leader accountable for execution of global clinical data management work, improving clinical data management activities and processes across the research lifecycle (early development through post-launch).
- Coach and develop staff; provide in-depth expertise in global clinical data management (data collection, data flow management, data quality/integrity, data technology, archiving, standards, and submission).

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of clinical data execution; ensure completeness/accuracy/consistency for regulatory reporting.
- Partner with clinical leaders to provide strategic/scientific/technical input on clinical data planning and execution.
- Guide project decisions on global clinical data execution options; ensure linkage between study build, execution, analytics, and archival.
- Plan, forecast, and manage end-to-end global clinical data management resources (validation, study build, filing/archiving).
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement; identify capability gaps early to avoid delivery delays.
- Lead high-complexity cross Business Unit/Therapeutic Area programs.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements (US, EU, Japan, China); ensure compliance with laws/guidelines.
- Support inspections/audits related to clinical data management.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a capable workforce; provide technical leadership, resource planning, and staff supervision/training.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years in clinical drug development or related field with deep technical expertise in clinical data management and data strategy execution at compound and study level.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Additional Preferences
- Master’s degree plus 3–5 years related experience.
- Advanced scientific/healthcare degree (e.g., MSc, PhD).
- Previous supervisory experience; proven ability to develop talent.
- SC Data Management certification; domestic/international travel may be required.
