Job Position Overview
The Learning Architect (LA) is a platform-specific learning professional responsible for designing and maintaining training that serves an entire manufacturing platform (90% platform-level, 10% site-level), aligned to COE standards and governance frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for platform-specific curriculum design, development, and maintenance within the GMQLD operating model.
- Partner with site SMEs, Platform Leads, and the COE to ensure training is current, compliant, and aligned to manufacturing process needs.
- Design/develop platform training within COE governance and global standards; address assigned platform vs. site content needs.
- Apply process-based curricula (organize by manufacturing process with task-level qualification) and align to the Global/Platform/Site content model.
- Ensure content meets COE standards, governance, and compliance requirements; elevate content gaps and site needs.
- Support learning equivalency, exception, and substitution decisions aligned with the Quality system.
- Collaborate on L&D strategy and represent the platform in cross-functional forums, audits, and governance reviews.
- Support time-to-qualification optimization, OJT standardization, and use data to improve curriculum effectiveness and qualification outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a regulated environment.
- Expertise in Learning & Development/Instructional Design or Manufacturing/Quality operations.
- Experience with curriculum design, learning management systems, and/or GMP training requirements.
- Authorization to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Strong GxP/GMP and regulatory/compliance training knowledge.
- Knowledge of platform-specific manufacturing processes (e.g., PFS, Cartridge, DAP/EM, Chemical, Biologics).
- Process- or competency-based curriculum architecture; multi-site/time zone collaboration.
- Collaboration with Quality, Operations, Engineering; digital learning tools; DOJT/OJT standardization.
- Familiarity with Workday, SuccessFactors, or equivalent HR/learning systems.
