Key Responsibilities:
- Category management for engineering & construction services, automation, and capital equipment (global strategy development, implementation, and management).
- Lead requirements review; develop sourcing strategies; oversee supplier due diligence and RFP process; manage contract negotiation/award and contract management.
- Negotiate agreements to minimize cost/risk while meeting project objectives.
- Partner with business clients to qualify suppliers; contribute to supplier relationship meetings; use spend analysis, market intelligence, and risk management.
- Source goods/services for major capital projects (>$100MM) at global manufacturing sites ($100MM–$300MM annually).
- Lead procurement management for major/mega, high-risk, high-resource/financial, or complex projects/programs.
- Assemble capital project procurement strategy to ensure delivery of business objectives.
- Lead supplier management (facilitate internal customer–supplier relationships).
- Identify and implement cost/risk reduction and avoidance savings ($10M+ annually).
- Execute procurement activities per Global Procurement procedures with competitive bidding.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) or any degree with relevant industry experience.
- 7+ years in major capital project experience.
- Authorized to work full-time in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Proven sourcing experience (engineering/construction services, capital equipment) and commissioning/qualification.
- Life sciences process/plant experience preferred; $500MM+ mega projects preferred.
- Strong written/verbal communication; English proficiency.
- CIPS/IIPMM/ISM and/or relevant procurement experience; IT literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP/Ariba).
- Ability to influence/negotiate internally and externally; analytical/problem-solving.
Other Information:
- Travel 10%–25%.
- Location: Lebanon, IN / Indianapolis, IN.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Anticipated base pay: $127,500–$187,000; eligibility for company bonus (full-time equivalent). Comprehensive benefits include 401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision/prescription, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off/leave, and well-being benefits.
