Purpose:
The Clinical Sciences Business Process Office (BPO) is comprised of Business Process Owners (BPOs) accountable for the definition, health, and performance of Clinical Sciences’ key end-to-end processes. The Associate Director, BPO partners with process stakeholders to align people, process, and technology, and is responsible for process performance measured by process indicators, with empowerment to identify and champion improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for oversight and process-related decision-making for assigned processes
- Facilitation and strategic management of process performance and reporting routines
- Documentation of end-to-end process requirements (policy, process, procedures)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain training curricula related to the end-to-end process
- Monitor and report process performance against performance measures and specification limits
- Establish process strategy, strategic objectives, and gap-closing roadmap
- Identify, define, and prioritize process improvement opportunities
- Oversee investigations and Action Plans from inspection findings, audit observations, and exceptions
- Perform periodic process health checks and manage remediation plans
- Maintain awareness of relevant regulations and monitoring changes via regulatory intelligence
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
- MBA preferred
- Lean Six Sigma and/or Lean certification desired
- 6 years process management and/or continuous improvement experience required
- Previous experience as a Process Owner and/or Value Stream Manager preferred
- Strong relationship management, emotional intelligence, and communication skills required
