Position Summary
- The Associate Director, Business Insights and Analytics will generate customer-focused analytical insights, actionable recommendations, and data-driven business decisions.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform advanced statistical analyses to identify patterns, uncover insights/brand opportunities, and recommend actions.
- Maintain commercial forecasts for launch products, including drug assets in Phase II & III.
- Align with stakeholders on assumptions for multiple forecast scenarios.
- Support brand planning and strategy via KPI, MCM, and OMNI channel analysis.
- Conduct secondary data and behavioral analyses of HCPs, Patients, and Payers to identify business performance drivers.
- Enable senior management decision-making with analysis where data is difficult/unreliable.
- Partner with Market Research on KPI tracking and standard reports.
- Partner with Commercial Insights to present commercial performance updates to Senior Leaders.
- Evaluate, analyze, and integrate data sources (secondary market audits like Symphony Health claims, epidemiology data, sales/financial data, competitive intelligence, syndicated prescription/unit data like IQVIA).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Business/Science/related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- 12 years professional experience; 7 years in marketing sciences/forecasting/business analytics (biotech/pharma or consulting).
- Experience building/maintaining forecasting models; expertise in time-series and patient-based forecasting.
- Commercial insights from large transactional datasets.
- Strong understanding of secondary and syndicated data sources.
- Experience with forecasting/analytics tools (Flexicast, Forecast Pro, Crystal Ball, Tableau) a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and present recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and define objectives/next steps.
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead, resolve conflict, and build consensus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Launch brand experience.
- Longitudinal patient and specialty pharmacy/hub data experience.
Travel
- Up to 5%.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Base salary range: $165,000β$206,000; discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, 401k match; medical/dental/vision/basic life, 20 PTO days, 10 paid holidays, winter company shutdown.
