Role Summary

Associate Director, Brand Capabilities at Takeda Pharmaceutical. Location: Cambridge, MA or Lexington, MA. The role is part of the Brand Capabilities Team within Commercial Learning & Development and collaborates with cross-functional partners to develop and measure capabilities that drive brand excellence and commercial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and advise brand and launch teams and their cross functional partners on marketing capabilities such as Product Positioning, Insights Generation, Brand Planning, Customer Engagement and Measurement
  • Identify capability and learning needs with brand partners
  • Facilitate connections and sharing of best practices across the USBU
  • Work directly with launch teams to develop the needed brand capabilities and business outputs for launch
  • Parlay marketing subject matter expertise into the learning environment by identifying new learning modalities, creating curriculum and upskilling marketers
  • Identify competency and capability development opportunities with brand team colleagues and partner on solutions
  • Collaborate and support the ongoing development and execution of the brand capabilities roadmap
  • Influence and foster change management elements through initiatives such as community of practice, communications, best practice sharing etc.
  • Manage resource requirements, project plans and budget
  • Measure results to assess impact and improve future initiatives
  • Implement development plans and training to achieve business objectives

Qualifications

  • Required: Minimum BS/BA; MS/MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing & brand experience across diverse roles
  • Ability to influence senior-level management and key stakeholders
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and develop workflow processes in a dynamic marketplace
  • Strong analytical skills and budget management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead through change and influence without authority
  • Strategic and critical thinking with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills for multiple projects
  • Track record of leadership and development of small to medium, multi-disciplinary dispersed teams

Preferred

  • Experience across stages of a brandβ€šΓ„Γ΄s life cycle (launch, growth, end of life)
  • Experience leading annual Brand Planning
  • Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic/biotech, or medical industry

Education

  • BS/BA with MS/MBA preferred
