Role Summary
Associate Director, Biosimilar Regional Accounts – Northeast Region oversees recruiting, coaching, managing, and training Biosimilar regional Account managers (BRAMs) to promote Teva's biosimilar product portfolio and achieve business objectives. The role leads a team, develops account plans, and collaborates across departments to maximize customer solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of BRAMs to create successful partnerships between Teva and identified customers to promote biosimilar products.
- Contribute to achieving Teva’s overall annual business objectives.
- Clarify and set team objectives, formulate and execute strategies to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Provide guidance in creating and developing account plans and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Coach BRAMs on external environment and trends affecting healthcare, biotech, and Teva’s markets.
- Model constructive feedback and set expectations for others to do the same.
- Provide frequent coaching and feedback; utilize tools such as monthly business plans and performance reviews.
- Develop and help direct reports achieve Individual Development Plans.
- Recruit, interview, hire, develop, and retain top talent.
- Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, National Account Directors, and Regional Account Managers to meet customer needs and uncover growth opportunities.
- Anticipate and respond to changing market conditions; maintain awareness of biosimilar dynamics and guide reports to maximize opportunities.
- Understand customer needs and implement forward-thinking business strategies.
Territory: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Territory boundaries may change based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business or a scientific discipline); MBA preferred
- Minimum 7 years pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales and/or account management experience
- Proven track record of leading teams and developing talent
- Experience in executing and implementing business contracts
- Strategic account management experience with ability to coach others in developing account-specific business plans
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience preferred
- Buy-and-bill experience highly preferred
Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication and organizational abilities
- Understanding of financial concepts and contracting issues in pharmaceutical distribution
- Understanding of patient drug access and payer reimbursement
- Understanding of ASP, NCR, and reimbursement dynamics within IDN and clinic spaces
- Ability to travel regionally with regular overnight travel
Education
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
