Role Summary
Associate Director – Digital Transformation Treasury at Lilly. Lead the digital transformation of global treasury operations, bridging business and technology to design and execute the digital treasury agenda, including automation, real-time visibility, AI-driven forecasting, and intelligent workflows. Support finance functions across global treasury, pension and benefits management, insurance and risk management, and business development financial support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and partner with business areas to map workflows to simplify and automate manual processes in treasury, pension and benefits, business development finance, and insurance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and data integration across finance platforms.
- Support the implementation of new tools or enhancements to existing systems, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Assist in the transition to next-gen treasury tools (e.g., API-based banking, real-time reporting, machine learning models for forecasting or exposure management).
- Lead and shape execution of technology initiatives involving digital payments, bank fee optimization, cash forecasting, working capital visibility, virtual accounts, FX hedging platforms and exposure management, equity investments and policy digitization.
- Collaborate with Tech@Lilly, Cybersecurity, Advanced Analytics and Data Sciences, and Finance Centers of Excellence to ensure system controls, data governance, and security protocols are upheld.
- Liaise with external vendors and bank technology teams to troubleshoot, enhance, or deploy new functionalities.
- Support data and reporting needs for external auditors, regulators, and executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Required: 5+ years of experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, or Treasury IT Support roles.
- Required: Hands-on experience with treasury systems (e.g., Kyriba, SAP Treasury, FIS, Quantum, Reval, etc.).
- Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a large, multinational corporation or regulated industry.
- Working knowledge of corporate tax processes, insurance risk platforms, or pension administration.
- Familiarity with bank connectivity, payments, FX, insurance programs, and pension fund operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data visualization.
- Exposure to RPA, APIs, data lakes, and emerging treasury tech solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based finance platforms.
- Strong desire to learn and intellectually curious.
- Proven track record of leading technology-driven transformation initiatives within finance or treasury.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically with a focus on delivering measurable results.
