Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive in-person (or virtual as needed) education to defined accounts on access and reimbursement topics to support aligned product(s) strategy.
- Serve as patient access and reimbursement lead in B2B conversations; manage pull-through of access and reimbursement strategy and downstream operations within aligned accounts.
- Interact with large, complex accounts to support patient access; work with executives, providers, administrators, billing/coding, claims, and revenue cycle managers.
- Analyze access/reimbursement issues; address barriers related to local payer policy, multi-channel acquisition pathways, billing/coding, claims processing, reimbursement, and integration of manufacturer support programs.
- Support pull-through on local coverage decisions; communicate policy changes impacting other departments.
- Maintain expertise in regional/local access landscape and act as reimbursement expert.
- Interface with Patient Support Center/Access & Reimbursement Managers for case management (tracking, resolution, reimbursement support, staff education).
- Educate HCPs on acquisition pathways and buy-and-bill end-to-end processes/workflows, including centralized/decentralized acquisition and alternative channels (white/clear/brown bagging; alternate site of care).
- Buy-and-bill: assess access situation and develop/communicate Plan of Action; educate on logistics (ordering, payment, inventory, returns/replacement); engage non-prescribers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree required; business and/or biological science preferred; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years pharma/biotech experience in patient services/market access/sales/account management; 2+ years in patient services practice support for specialty products.
- Experience with highly complex practices/health systems; strategic proactive account management.
- Deep expertise integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs.
- Specialty pharmacy acquisition experience; knowledge of reimbursement pathways (specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, retail).
- Reside within territory or within 60 miles commuting distance; travel 60β80%; valid driverβs license.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Salary expected: $160,300β$297,700/year; performance-based cash incentive; possible annual equity eligibility.
