Role Summary

The Associate Director, Access Marketing Strategy and Experience shapes the access experience for a dermatology launch, leading strategies to establish perceptions of product access and enhance market access acumen across the commercial organization. You will define access-intentional communications strategy, field readiness, and community engagement to prepare Takeda to meet patient needs in plaque psoriasis. Reports to the Director, Head of Access Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead promotional strategy for product access, focusing on channels engaging providers and provider entities
  • Lead marketing strategies supporting product trial and pre-prescription engagement
  • Set access-intentional learning objectives for market research, competitive intelligence, and industry trend tracking
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Manage product planning, development, and P&L activities with marketing counterparts
  • Manage creative agency to develop and distribute promotional materials
  • Set objectives, delegate tasks, and ensure operational success with senior management reviews
  • Influence organizational goals and policies through strategic marketing initiatives
  • Independently develop and communicate value propositions and business cases in routine and moderately complex situations
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills with a high level of influence and trust
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability in interactions with internal and external collaborators

Field Readiness and Access Acumen

  • Lead marketing plan to upskill the organization on access acumen, capabilities, and market access environment
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to enhance performance and collaboration

Community Engagement

  • Lead access marketing engagement with external advisory groups and partner organizations
  • Maintain frequent communication with peers and customers to influence organizational goals

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • Required: 8+ years of commercial biopharmaceutical experience with substantial expertise in market access-related channels
  • Required: 2+ years in leadership roles with increasing responsibility in marketing or sales within biopharmaceuticals
  • Required: Experience leading strategic initiatives with enterprise-level visibility and impact
  • Required: Experience in brand/product management, guiding brand positioning and partnering with field-based teams for access communications
  • Required: Ability to influence others and lead strategic initiatives with minimal guidance
  • Required: Understanding of managed care concepts and ability to apply them in routine situations
  • Required: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Required: Ability to manage multiple projects and travel as needed

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in business, pharmacy, or health economics
  • Experience in Psoriasis (PsO) therapeutic market
  • New product launch experience
  • Experience with US drug channel stakeholders (payers, PBMs, IDNs, GPOs)
  • Knowledge of buy-and-bill reimbursement models and payer dynamics

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred
