Associate Dir, Search & Evaluation (Platforms & AI)

Role: Associate Director, Search & Eval (Platforms & AI) specializing in external AI-enabled technologies to accelerate R&D innovation at Novartis. Responsibilities: identify, evaluate, and prioritize external AI platforms, datasets, and companies; conduct landscape analyses and diligence on technical differentiation, data quality, and strategic fit; develop strategic insights and support partnership recommendations; engage externally with biotech, academia, and venture firms; produce high-quality reports and maintain an AI opportunity knowledge base. Requirements: advanced degree in life sciences, computational biology, or related field; 5+ years in biopharma R&D, AI-enabled life sciences, or related areas; strong understanding of drug discovery, AI/ML applications in R&D, and external technology assessment; excellent synthesis and communication skills.
