Position Overview:
The Associate – Device Assembly / Packaging will report to an Associate Director in Manufacturing. They are responsible for implementation and monitoring of projects in the manufacturing process, including providing leadership to the area process team, managing improvement and process improvement projects, acting as a liaison between operations and support groups for improvements, change controls, and projects, and assisting with supervisory coverage in the absence of the Associate Director.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment; lead safety initiatives and support HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
- Develop and monitor metrics.
- Provide education on concepts.
- Drive improvement projects.
- Provide leadership in Device Assembly / Packaging; manage improvements for the process team.
- Support projects generated by the Process Team and CAPA.
- Investigate problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement countermeasures.
- Back up Leader and Team Leader; lead specific functions of the process team.
- Use data to influence change and improvement.
- Ensure safety practices, policies, and rules are followed and enforced; complete safety audits.
- Participate actively in safety improvements and reduction of incidents.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a science-based field.
- Experience in Device Assembly / Packaging Operations.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Deviation, CAPA, and investigation experience.
- Leadership/supervisory experience helpful.
- Interest in operations leadership.
- Flexible to attend meetings or support off-shifts as necessary.
Additional Information:
- Ability to work overtime; wear safety equipment.
- 1st shift with somewhat flexible start/stop for potential 24/7 contact.
- Consider allergen exposure and mobility requirements.
- Primary location: Kenosha County, Wisconsin.
- Travel ~10%.
