Role Summary
Associate Brand Manager with CPG industry experience, supporting the Associate Director Brand Management on multiple brand initiatives. Based in Morristown, NJ or Grand Rapids, MI with a hybrid working schedule.
Responsibilities
- Competitive Surveillance & Reporting: Lead monthly performance reporting based on consumption data; monitor category/competitive activity and performance to inform strategy and tactical pivots; contribute to monthly demand planning and ad hoc analyses.
- Social & Influencer Planning & Execution: Collaborate with retained agencies to ensure robust social and digital planning; manage weekly content review with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory to ensure compliance.
- Social & Digital Media Performance Management: Report on program results and optimize plans, processes, and KPIs.
- Shopper Marketing: Partner with Commercial Strategy to execute in-store and online shopper strategies aligned with business objectives and merchandising plans.
- Business Management: Support budget management, master data, compliance, and inventory management; manage POs and contracts; handle finance updates.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver new products, renovations, and other project needs.
- Artwork/Graphics: Coordinate with creative services to influence packaging graphics and advertising; ensure risk is minimized with regulatory collaboration; maintain graphics repository.
- Other day-to-day: Stage Gate deliverables, meeting management, file maintenance, samples coordination, budget management, art conversions, and performance reporting.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Master’s Degree/MBA preferred.
- Required: Typically 4+ years of experience; 2–4 years in CPG Brand Management, Shopper Marketing, or Retail Marketing is a plus.
- Required: Ability to support established business plans, demonstrate marketing creativity, and possess strong verbal/written communication and project/time management skills.
- Required: Ability to influence internal teams without authority; comfort with ambiguity and adaptability to pivots.
- Required: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with marketing intuition; proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Required: Self-motivation, detail orientation, adherence to deadlines, and results-driven mindset.
- Required: Up to 20% travel may be required.
