Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day operational support of global network security infrastructure, including Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA/ZCC, Tufin, and VPN technologies.
- Implement firewall and network security policy changes in accordance with change-management and security procedures.
- Create, modify, troubleshoot, and remove firewall security policies, NAT policies, objects, services, and related configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex firewall, VPN, Zscaler, and network connectivity issues using logs, traffic analysis, packet captures, and diagnostic tools such as Tufin.
- Provide technical support for escalated network security incidents/problems; identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor network security infrastructure and proactively identify configuration, performance, connectivity, and security issues.
- Coordinate with network engineering, infrastructure, application, cloud, and security teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Participate in firewall/network security upgrades, migrations, maintenance, and technology implementations.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and emergency support as required.
Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelorโs degree + 2 years related experience; or Masterโs with 0 years.
- Experience in network engineering, network security, or firewall operations.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (policy creation/modification/troubleshooting/maintenance) and Palo Alto Panorama.
- Hands-on Zscaler experience (preferably ZIA, ZPA, ZCC).
- Strong TCP/IP, routing, NAT, DNS, VPN, and network security understanding.
- Ability to troubleshoot firewall policies/connectivity/VPN/infrastructure issues.
- Experience with ITIL/change-management and enterprise change-control.
- Ability to analyze firewall logs/traffic/security data to identify root causes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and prioritize.
Preferred:
- 5+ years in network engineering/network security/firewall operations.
- Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCNSA/PCNSE/PCSAE), CCNA/CCNP, CISSP.
- Experience supporting large global enterprise environments.
- Firewall automation and scripting (APIs, Python, etc.).
