Associate Alternative Models Operations Director

The Position
- Provide tactical leadership and direction for pharmacy operations within the enterprise patient support ecosystem.
- Set strategic priorities; oversee development of long-term operational plans; ensure alignment across Patient Support, Marketing, Market Access, and Field teams.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership; identify emerging opportunities and drive enterprise-wide improvements to enhance patient experience, operational effectiveness, and scalability.
Essential Functions
- Develop, design, and implement short- and long-term pharmacy strategies and capabilities; manage pharmacy programs.
- Partner with patient support program leads to drive operational excellence.
- Set departmental strategic priorities and operational objectives aligned to enterprise pharmacy support goals.
- Build multi-year capability roadmaps for scalability and patient experience.
- Create performance dashboards; assess market access trends, hub utilization, and KPI performance.
- Evaluate new technology platforms/operating models/service enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement pharmacy programs for inline and launching brands.
- Enhance customer experience via benchmarking, customer feedback, auditing, and call monitoring.
- Develop/maintain US patient support SOPs, business rules, workflows, scripting, training, and reports; manage external partner performance.
- Develop communications/engagement strategies for internal audiences and key external customers; provide program updates.
- Manage vendor performance; negotiate and execute contracts/SOWs and budgets; define vendor governance/frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required); experience with patient support hubs/pharmacies/healthcare institutions (preferred).
- 9+ years with Bachelor’s, or 7+ years with Master’s, or 5+ years with PharmD in relevant areas (patient services operations, sales/marketing, market insights/research, contracting, managed markets strategy, payer value communication) OR 3+ years in strategic market access/pharmacy operations in pharma.
- Lead senior professionals/cross-functional teams; influence executives; develop long-term business plans.
- Agency/vendor management experience (required). Cross-functional collaboration (required).
- Understanding of pharmaceutical marketplace (legal/medical/regulatory/clinical).
- Strong project management and quantitative analysis; intermediate Windows/MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Physical Requirements
- 10–20% overnight travel; remote in the US.
