Associate Director, Patient Access Lead (Patient Services)
Onsite requirement: Lexington, MA office; onsite five days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the contact point for patients and providers within the Patient Services program, including timely patient enrollment/documentation, insurance evaluations, and financial support options per program guidelines.
- Serve as subject matter expert on patient service offerings, policies, procedures, and resources for healthcare providers/offices; visit customers in the field as needed to address education and reimbursement challenges.
- Provide expertise on insurance coverage, changes in market access policies, and patient access programs.
- Coordinate specialty and free-goods pharmacies to ensure patient access to prescribed treatment; communicate coverage discussions internally and externally in a compliant manner.
- Coordinate with an injection training partner to ensure timely patient education.
- Maintain adherence to Patient Services policies/procedures and compliance guidelines; receive, record, and report Adverse Events and Product Complaints compliantly.
- Analyze regional program data/insights to enhance patient services; achieve brand-specific patient access objectives and maintain service levels based on KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners and build relationships with external stakeholders (specialty pharmacies and vendor partners).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BA/BS and 5+ years equivalent experience in US Patient Support Services.
- Ability to navigate CRMs to support patients from enrollment through initial dispense and ongoing access; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience interacting with top US specialty pharmacies and payers.
- In-depth understanding of relevant US legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements; strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred:
- US product launch experience and rare disease experience.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders including field sales, marketing, trade & distribution, and market access.
- Experience with rare diseases/specialty medicines.
Compensation:
- Pay range: $160,000β$175,000 USD.
