Role Summary

The Associate Director, Oncology Market Research IID&D will assume a key contributor role responsible for leading a multitude of market research, primarily focused on consumer and direct to patient (DTP) related activities aimed at ensuring the US commercial organization and the external marketplace are ready to capitalize on these important indications and growth opportunities. This position is also essential to the success of this growing business unit for Gilead. HCP market research may also be in scope for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Working with key stakeholders, plays a key role in planning, development and execution of market research plan supporting Oncology products and ensure strategically aligned and coordinated efforts.
  • Manages Oncology patient market research studies, including project objective, design, vendor selection and oversight, monitoring of data collection, data analysis and interpretation
  • Develops relevant and compelling presentation of market research insights for key stakeholders, including brand leadership and senior management
  • Present insights to key internal stakeholders, including Senior Management. Ability to tailor communications to maximize influence
  • Working with diverse counterparts (Sales Analytics, Forecasting, Commercial Learning and Development, Managed Markets, Brand team), compiles and analyzes statistical data on past sales and trends to interpret market trends and, as appropriate, recommend corrective courses of action
  • Keeps abreast of key market events and works to understand potential impact

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in a related field; OR
  • Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience in a related field; OR
  • PhD and 5+ years of experience in a related field

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in a related field; OR Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience in a related field; OR PhD and 5+ years of experience in a related field

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time
