Role Summary
Associate Director, Imaging Portfolio Project Management leads cross-functional teams to develop and deliver robust, integrated project plans for Lilly Imaging’s molecular imaging agents and biomarkers portfolios. The role focuses on optimizing processes and modernizing imaging infrastructure and reporting. It requires driving project readiness across clinical development, imaging operations, regulatory, and partner functions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support Portfolio Delivery through Project Leadership: Develop and deliver project plans across all knowledge areas (timeline, scope, risks, communications; budget where applicable) with cross-functional teams and key business partners.
- Hold project teams accountable for key deliverables in alignment with the project plan and corporate quality standards.
- Develop and implement team communication plans, document decisions, manage risks/issues, and create visualizations and messaging for stakeholders and leadership.
- Help manage portfolios of work across clinical, non-clinical, data and digital areas for multiple therapeutic areas to identify integration risks and create milestone roadmaps.
- Continuously Improve PM Capabilities, Competencies, And Business Processes: Expand PM capabilities across Lilly Imaging and partnerships using applied tools and shared learning; lead special projects to optimize processes; expertise in Smartsheet portfolio management and reporting is a plus.
- Support Imaging Infrastructure and Business Reporting Modernization: Identify modernization opportunities, partner with Tech@Lilly to build implementation plans, and create change management plans to adopt new processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of project management experience in the radiopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of leading complex projects within Clinical Development.
- Required: Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile); proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project; experience in O365 platform.
- Required: Strong problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate issues, diagnose root causes, propose corrective actions, and influence outcomes.
- Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences and communicate clearly with leadership.
- Required: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preferred: PMP certification or Applied knowledge of project management processes.
- Preferred: Self-management and organizational skills; ability to manage workload and priorities; strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills; experience with change management for system implementations.
- Travel: 0-10% depending on location; team presence primarily in Philadelphia, PA and Indianapolis, IN offices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (10+ years of project management experience in relevant field).
