Key Objectives / Deliverables:
- Maintain a safe work environment; lead safety initiatives; support HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
- Ensure process automation solutions/systems are in-control, capable, and compliant.
- Stay aligned with internal customers; understand issues, priorities, and objectives.
- Respond to and implement customer requests; troubleshoot problems.
- Perform routine maintenance to keep control systems up-to-date and reliable.
- Ensure capital projects align with the Automation Strategy and established standards.
- Define user requirements.
- Design system architectures.
- Develop and implement code.
- Perform testing and assist with Verification and Qualification (IV/OV/PQ).
- Provide software development timelines and milestones using strong project management.
- Serve as Change Control owner/executor for applicable automation systems.
- Identify and implement control system, production process, and business improvements.
- Manage contract resources while maintaining ownership of the end product.
- Replicate standards and control code developed by others.
- Stay current with validation expectations; develop/maintain validation documentation and infrastructure methods/procedures.
- Harmonize and improve practices across multiple projects/facilities/systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Good interpersonal and communications skills for team-based work.
- Understanding of automation requirements to meet compliance and business needs.
- Previous experience as a process automation engineer or process engineer.
Additional Preferences:
- Pharmaceutical experience.
- Computer System Validation experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Other Information (role-related):
- Standard business hours (days, M-F) with after-hour support and shutdown support as needed.
- Minimal travel required.
- Work in areas where allergens may be present; consider mobility and exposure requirements.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $66,000 - $171,600.
- Full-time employees may be eligible for a company bonus (company/individual performance dependent).
