Position Summary / Role Description:
- Assist with aseptic filling, lyophilization, and capping procedures.
- Monitor processes and report unusual circumstances.
- Assist with mechanical setup in an aseptic environment.
- Use scale, pipettes, calculators, and scientific measuring devices to verify fill volumes and specific gravity.
- Perform routine environmental monitoring.
- Learn and apply USDA and APHIS requirements.
- Document processes accurately per SOPs and GMPs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Handle movement of sterile equipment using aseptic practices.
- Learn and demonstrate sterilization principles and aseptic technique.
- Use fill schedules and support inventory management.
- Assist with CIP/SIP systems; basic SCADA/EWI system support.
- Assist with lab cleaning; identify/communicate work order issues.
- Operate fill suites, lyophilizers (Micromax/SCADA), and capping equipment.
- Independently perform mechanical setup in an aseptic environment.
- Assist updating batch records, SOPs, and JTCs; cross-train; support special projects.
- Perform basic repairs/maintenance and disassembly/reassembly of major equipment.
- Identify quality issues.
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent (required)
- Basic mechanical skills
- PC usage
Skills/Competencies:
- Communication and accurate documentation; read/apply safety and SOPs
- Basic math, metric conversions, inventory calculations
- Reasoning to follow instructions; multitask; GMP knowledge
- Teamwork, listening, positive attitude
Hours: 1st shift, 4:00amβ12:30pm; overtime/weekends/holidays may be required.
