Role Summary
Area Vice President - 2 Openings, Mid-Atlantic and Lone Star. Location: US Remote in Texas, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Baltimore, or Washington DC. Field-based role leading Cardiovascular initiatives within Biosense Webster commercial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Drive top line sales results in the Area of the US Sales & Field Service group, including defining and managing monthly and annual sales objectives for all sales and clinical personnel.
- Meet and exceed sales and profit targets; provide accurate sales forecasts and develop/tactical plans with quotas and account objectives.
- Manage Area expense budget.
- Coach and manage direct reports; develop Regional Business Directors to coach their teams.
- Oversee per diem clinical support and ensure appropriate use and interactions.
- Develop and enhance clinical proficiency and certification; leadership development of employees.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talent; manage performance, succession, and development plans.
- Develop and implement commercial, field training and product/services marketing strategies through the field organization.
- Develop and execute customer relationship strategies with key clinical and commercial stakeholders; build strong customer relationships within the Area.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute area strategic plans.
- Participate in US Sales & Field Services Leadership Team; lead national projects for the field organization.
- Drive organizational development and change; embody Credo values and company culture.
- Ensure adherence to company programs, policies, pricing, expenses, compensation, and healthcare compliance.
- Assess market conditions to develop competitive strategies to grow market share; communicate issues/opportunities to next management level.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental practices and regulatory compliance; manage resources accordingly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a BA/BS; 10 years of professional work experience; at least 3 years of Sales Management experience in US medical device industry; people management experience required.
- Ability to travel up to 40% (travel ~60% in designated Area and periodic meetings); valid US driverβs license and background check including driving history.
- Strong knowledge of sales planning, strategic thinking, sales management, process, customer focus, communication, project management, problem solving, business/financial acumen, presentation skills, training/education methodologies, and people leadership.
- Ability to drive and stand for long periods (EP cases).
Preferred
- MBA preferred.
- 2+ yearsβ business experience in Cardiac Electrophysiology or Cardiovascular field preferred.
- Experience managing multi-functional teams (sales, clinical, technical services) preferred.
