Role Summary
Area Vice President - 2 openings (Mid-Atlantic and Lone Star). Field-based role responsible for implementing/executing Biosense Webster commercial strategy by managing sales and clinical personnel to maximize profitable sales growth in a rapidly growing marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Drive top line sales results in the Area of the US Sales & Field Service group, including defining and managing monthly and annual sales objectives for all sales and clinical personnel.
- Meet and exceed sales and profit targets; provide accurate sales forecasts and develop/execute tactical sales plans including quotas and account objectives.
- Manage Area expense budget.
- Coach and manage direct reports; lead and develop Regional Business Directors to ensure coaching and performance management.
- Oversee per diem clinical support usage, budget, and customer interactions.
- Develop and enhance clinical proficiency and certification of area team; lead leadership development and succession planning.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talent in the Area; manage performance, development, and retention planning.
- Develop and implement commercial, field training, and marketing strategies and tactics through the field organization.
- Develop and execute customer relationship strategies with key clinical and commercial stakeholders; build strong customer relationships.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute area strategic plans; participate in US Sales & Field Services Leadership Team.
- Lead national projects for the field organization; drive organizational development and change; infuse Credo values and company culture into the Area.
- Ensure adherence to company programs, policies, procedures, pricing models, expense reporting, compensation, and healthcare compliance.
- Assess market conditions and develop competitive strategies to grow market share; communicate business issues or opportunities to management.
- Ensure subordinates follow Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and that resources are available and in good condition; ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a BA/BS.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Sales Management experience in the US medical device industry.
- People management experience required.
- Ability to travel up to 40% (travel ~60% in designated Area and periodic meetings; some weekends for conferences).
- Valid US driverβs license and successful completion of a background investigation including driving record review.
- Strong knowledge of sales planning, strategic thinking, sales management, sales process, customer focus, communication skills, project management, problem solving, financial acumen, presentation skills, training methodologies, and people leadership.
- Must be able to drive and stand for long periods, particularly wearing a lead apron during EP cases.
Preferred
- MBA is preferred.
- 2+ years of business experience in Cardiac Electrophysiology or Cardiovascular field is preferred.
- Experience managing multi-functional teams (sales, clinical, technical services) is preferred.
