Role Summary
Area Therapy Advancement Manager to join Johnson & Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology in the Northeast region (Northern New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont). Leads the area Therapy Advancement field team and executes EP marketing strategies in alignment with U.S. Commercial Marketing and Field Sales to expand patient access to therapies including cardiac catheter ablation. Focuses on advancing awareness, programs, and collaboration across teams to improve patient outcomes in electrophysiology and cardiovascular care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop Regional Therapy Advancement Team: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; manage performance, succession, and development; coach RTAMs for consistent execution and growth.
- Drive Strategic Alignment and Business Planning: Identify priority accounts, align objectives with leadership, set business-critical goals, ensure accountability, and influence strategy.
- Advocate for Electrophysiology Programs: Engage health system administration and hospital leadership to accelerate access to care and improve outcomes; promote resources from Marketing, Education, HEMA, and SCG.
- Advance Awareness and Market Presence: Increase AFib awareness among stakeholders; connect physicians with marketing initiatives; plan national marketing projects to expand presence.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with field sales to meet objectives; maintain communication with RTAMs, sales leadership, and EP leadership.
- Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence: Uphold Health Care Compliance rules; complete mandatory training and administrative tasks on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Required:
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience and 4+ years in sales and marketing
- Medical device industry experience
- People leadership experience
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Consultative relationship-building with customers
- Ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships across an organization
- Inclusive and growth/visionary mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with urgency
- Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license with up to 60% travel (overnights/weekends)
- Home base within or relocation willingness to the geography
- Preferred:
- Prior sales and/or clinical experience in electrophysiology
- Prior sales and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular therapeutic areas
- Master’s degree or equivalent
