Role Summary

Area Therapy Advancement Manager for Johnson & Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology in the Great Plains region. Leads the area Therapy Advancement field team to execute EP marketing strategies, expand patient access to care, and collaborate with Marketing, Education, Health Economics and Market Access, and Strategic Customer Group to support therapies including cardiac catheter ablation. Focuses on improving awareness and outcomes for atrial fibrillation and related cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop Regional Therapy Advancement Team: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the Therapy Advancement team, including performance management, succession planning, and development planning. Coach and directly manage RTAM performance, collaborating with their management to ensure consistent execution and growth.
  • Drive Strategic Alignment and Business Planning: Identify priority accounts and align objectives with the Area Vice President and National Therapy Advancement Manager to execute plans that enable patient treatment. Develop business-critical commercial goals for the team, ensure accountability, and provide leadership to meet and exceed organizational objectives. Serve as a member of the sales area leadership team to influence strategy and decision-making.
  • Advocate for Electrophysiology Programs: Engage health system administration and hospital leadership to gain alignment on projects and advocate for programs that accelerate access to care and improve patient outcomes. Promote and maximize the use of resources developed by Commercial Marketing, Professional Education, Health Economics & Market Access, and Strategic Customer Group.
  • Advance Awareness and Market Presence: Increase overall awareness of AFib and related treatment options among stakeholders. Connect physicians with marketing initiatives to strengthen relationships. Plan and execute national-level marketing projects and campaigns to expand market presence.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with field sales teams to achieve objectives and align on strategic priorities. Maintain routine communication with RTAMs, sales leadership, and MedTech EP leadership to drive execution.
  • Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence: Uphold Health Care Compliance rules and regulations. Complete mandatory training, expense reporting, and administrative tasks within timelines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience and Skills

  • Required: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience with 4+ years in sales and marketing; prior medical device industry experience; people leadership; strong presentation and communication skills; ability to build relationships with a consultative approach; expertise in strategic relationship management; growth/visionary mindset; proven ability to manage multiple projects; advanced Microsoft Office skills; valid driver’s license with up to 60% travel (including overnights/weekends); residence within or willingness to relocate to the geography.
  • Preferred: Prior sales and/or clinical experience in electrophysiology; prior sales and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular therapeutic areas; Master’s degree or equivalent.
