Role Summary

Area Therapy Advancement Manager for the Great Plains region supports the following areas: Louisiana, St. Louis, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Arkansas, Oklahoma. The role leads the area Therapy Advancement field team to develop and execute Johnson & Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology marketing strategies, aligned with US Commercial Marketing and Field Sales to expand patient access to therapies including cardiac ablation. The ATAM partners with stakeholders across Professional Education, Health Economics & Market Access, and Strategic Customer Group to optimize resource use and drive execution in support of AFib and related cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop Regional Therapy Advancement Team: Recruit, develop, and retain talent; manage performance, succession planning, and development; coach RTAMs for consistent execution and growth.
  • Drive Strategic Alignment and Business Planning: Identify priority accounts, align objectives with leadership to execute plans enabling patient treatment; set and monitor commercial goals; participate in sales area leadership discussions.
  • Advocate for Electrophysiology Programs: Engage health system and hospital leadership to accelerate access to care and improve outcomes; promote resources from Marketing, Professional Education, HEMA, and SCG.
  • Advance Awareness and Market Presence: Increase AFib awareness among stakeholders; connect physicians with marketing initiatives; plan and execute national marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with field sales to achieve objectives; maintain communication with RTAMs, sales leadership, and EP leadership to drive execution and consistency.
  • Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence: Uphold Health Care Compliance rules; complete mandatory training and administrative tasks on time.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience And Skills

Required:
  • Minimum of 8 years professional work experience and 4+ years of sales and marketing experience
  • Previous experience in the medical device industry
  • People leadership experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships with a consultative approach
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships across an organization
  • Inclusive and Growth / Visionary Mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
  • A valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel up to 60% (including overnights/weekends)
  • Residence within, or willingness to relocate to the geography
Preferred:
  • Prior sales and/or clinical experience in electrophysiology
  • Prior sales and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular therapeutic areas
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
