Role Summary
Area Therapy Advancement Manager (ATAM) leads the area Therapy Advancement field team and develops and oversees Electrophysiology marketing strategies. It aligns with US Commercial Marketing and Field Sales to expand patient access to therapies including cardiac ablation. The ATAM partners with Professional Education, Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA), and Strategic Customer Group (SCG) to optimize resources and execute area plans in the Frontier Region.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop Regional Therapy Advancement Team: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; manage performance, succession planning, and development; coach RTAMs to ensure consistent execution and growth.
- Drive Strategic Alignment and Business Planning: Identify priority accounts and align objectives with the Area Vice President and National Therapy Advancement Manager; set and track commercial goals; participate in sales area leadership to influence strategy.
- Advocate for Electrophysiology Programs: Engage health system administration and hospital leadership to gain alignment on projects and advocate for programs that accelerate access to care and improve patient outcomes; promote resources from Marketing, Education, HEMA, and SCG.
- Advance Awareness and Market Presence: Increase AFib awareness among stakeholders; connect physicians with marketing initiatives; plan and execute national-level marketing projects to expand market presence.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with field sales to achieve objectives; maintain routine communication with RTAMs, sales leadership, and EP leadership to drive execution and consistency.
- Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence: Uphold Health Care Compliance rules; complete mandatory training, expense reporting, and administrative tasks within timelines.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 8 years professional work experience and 4+ years of sales and marketing experience
- Required: Previous experience in the medical device industry

- Required: Ability to build strong customer relationships with a consultative approach
- Required: Expertise in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships across an organization

- Required: Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
- Required: A valid driver's license, with the ability to travel up to 60% (including overnights and/or weekends)
- Required: Residence within, or willingness to relocate to the geography
- Preferred: Prior sales and/or clinical experience in electrophysiology
- Preferred: Prior sales and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area(s)
- Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent
