Role Overview:
Area Prevention Specialist (HIV Prevention team). Flexible, field-based commercial resource providing coverage/support across multiple geographies within an assigned Area based on business priorities, territory needs, absences, and market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory business plans; achieve/exceed sales objectives using customer insights, market intelligence, and analytics.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers/systems and other stakeholders; identify opportunities to expand patient access and optimize product utilization.
- Serve as a trusted resource with clinical/product/disease-state information; communicate complex science clearly for diverse audiences; use influencing/negotiation skills.
- Maintain expertise in therapeutic areas/disease states/guidelines and competitor dynamics; provide compliant, accurate information.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Medical Scientists, Field Reimbursement, Market Access) to support patient access and experience.
- Document activities in required systems; manage territory resources/budgets/expenses; prioritize time strategically; adapt to changing territories.
Basic Qualifications (choose one):
- High School + 9 years experience; OR Associate’s + 7 years; OR Bachelor’s + 5 years; OR Master’s + 3 years.
Required:
- 70–80% travel across assigned geographies; onsite visitation requirements for HCPs (as applicable).
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS; prior pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; selling in competitive/specialty markets; track record meeting/exceeding objectives.
- Experience with injectable physician-administered products; managed care; Buy-and-Bill; multi-product portfolio; collaboration with cross-functional local teams.
