Area Prevention Specialist (HIV Prevention) — flexible, field-based commercial resource providing coverage/support across multiple geographies within an assigned Area based on business priorities and market opportunities. Reports to the Executive Regional Director of Sales and works with Regional Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with Area priorities, customer needs, and business objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, healthcare systems, and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand patient access and optimize product utilization.
- Consistently achieve/exceed sales objectives; adapt strategies to market dynamics and territory assignments.
- Leverage customer insights, market intelligence, and analytics to drive performance.
- Serve as a trusted clinical/product resource; deliver disease-state and product information.
- Communicate complex scientific/clinical information tailored to diverse audiences.
- Maintain expertise in therapeutic areas, guidelines, and competitive dynamics; position products appropriately.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, Field Reimbursement Managers, Market Access, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Coordinate account strategies to support patient access and operational needs.
- Document interactions/activities in required systems; manage territory resources, budgets, expenses.
Basic Qualifications
- High School + 9 years experience OR Associate’s + 7 years OR Bachelor’s + 5 years OR Master’s + 3 years.
- 70–80% travel within the assigned area/territory changes (plus any applicable onsite visitation requirements).
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS degree; prior pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales.
- Selling skills in competitive markets; track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (specialty markets preferred).
- Experience selling injectable physician-administered products; Buy-and-Bill success.
- Managed care landscape familiarity; multiple product portfolio experience.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Salary range: $115,260.00–$149,160.00; may include discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentives; paid time off; company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
