Job Description

As an Area Prevention Specialist in Gilead's HIV Prevention team, you will serve as a flexible field-based commercial resource providing coverage and support across multiple geographies within an assigned Area based on business priorities, territory needs, absences, and evolving market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned to Area priorities, customer needs, and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare providers, healthcare systems, and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand patient access and optimize product utilization.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales objectives while adapting to market dynamics and territory changes.
- Leverage customer insights, market intelligence, and analytics to drive performance.
- Deliver relevant clinical, product, and disease-state information and tailor communications to diverse audiences.
- Maintain therapeutic/disease-state and competitive expertise; provide compliant, accurate information.
- Partner cross-functionally (e.g., Medical Scientists, Field Reimbursement, Market Access) to enhance patient access and customer experience.
- Document interactions in required systems; manage territory resources, budgets, expenses, and administrative requirements.

Basic Qualifications
- High School + 9 years OR Associate’s + 7 OR Bachelor’s + 5 OR Master’s + 3.
- Ability to travel 70–80% within the assigned area across changing geographies.
- Ability to complete required onsite visitation requirements (if applicable).
- Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS degree.
- Prior pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales experience; selling skills in competitive markets.
- Track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (specialty markets preferred).
- Experience selling injectable physician-administered products; managed care familiarity.
- Buy and Bill experience; managing multiple product portfolio.

Compensation/Benefits
- Salary range: $115,260.00–$149,160.00. May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
