Role: Area Prevention Specialist (HIV Prevention)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a flexible field-based commercial resource providing coverage across multiple geographies.
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned to area priorities and objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, systems, and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand patient access and optimize product utilization.
- Achieve/exceed sales objectives using insights, market intelligence, and analytics.
- Provide clinical, product, and disease-state information; communicate complex scientific information clearly.
- Demonstrate influencing/negotiation skills to drive customer engagement.
- Maintain therapeutic-area expertise and appropriately position products within the treatment landscape.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Medical, Field Reimbursement, Market Access) to support patient access and experience.
- Document interactions/activities; manage territory resources, budgets, and expenses.
Required Qualifications:
- High School + 9 years OR Associate + 7 years OR Bachelor’s + 5 years OR Master’s + 3 years.
- Travel: expect 70–80% within the assigned area; may require onsite healthcare practitioner visitation requirements.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS; prior pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; experience in competitive/specialty markets; track record meeting/exceeding objectives.
- Leadership with cross-functional local teams; experience selling injectable physician-administered products and/or Buy & Bill; managed care familiarity; multiple product portfolio experience.
