Area Business Manager (ABM), US Petcare Division
We are seeking a highly capable individual to lead and develop colleagues using solution coaching and business planning to execute strategies that maximize sales performance within the assigned geography. Model Zoetis Core Beliefs. Travel throughout the geography; may require overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop colleagues; demonstrate Solution Coaching.
- Direct the business activities of Area Account Managers (AM) and Executive Account Managers (EAM) to meet management objectives.
- Attract, develop, evaluate, differentiate, and retain top talent via recruiting/hiring, coaching, and performance management tools.
- Spend ~75% of time on field-coaching days to help AMs/EAMs meet performance objectives.
- Meet or exceed sales objectives (quota) and key growth product targets via development and coaching of AMs/EAMs.
- Lead launch of new products/services/equipment.
- Improve area health through sales metrics, growth rates, and analytical insights.
- Develop annual strategic business plans (demographics, economics, performance, potential, actionable items, tracking/reporting).
- Coordinate and allocate marketing resources; handle administrative/reporting duties (e.g., operating expenses, performance reviews).
- Attend new product launches and periodic regional/area sales meetings; complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- BS/BA required.
- Minimum 3 years people leader/management experience.
Skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, business management, and computer skills.
- Analytics-driven decision-making; follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage expense budgets; customer-focused presentation.
- Cross-functional stakeholder influence; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine.
- Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback.
