Role: Area Business Director (Gastroenterology) responsible for promoting Ardelyx's first-in-class GI product, driving sales, and establishing the company as a leader in patient care. Responsibilities include meeting or exceeding sales targets, developing effective sales strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Patient Services, Market Access), and building relationships with gastroenterology healthcare professionals and clinic staff. The role requires mastering clinical data, disease states, market dynamics, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Qualifications: minimum 5 years of specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, with preference for gastroenterology expertise; proven success in sales, product launches, and knowledge of patient service hubs and specialty pharmacies; strong clinical acumen, strategic planning, and data analysis skills; bachelor’s degree.
