Essential Functions
- Develop predictive and optimization models with LLM interface for customer bid/tender decisions (win-probability, price-volume trade-offs across generics portfolio).
- Build revenue and volume forecasting models (NDC/brand) accounting for competitive entrants, loss of exclusivity, price erosion, and customer concentration.
- Analyze gross-to-net, chargeback, and rebate data to quantify margin leakage and implement recurring detection.
- Model customer/channel profitability (wholesalers, GPOs, retail, specialty) to inform contracting strategy and account prioritization.
- Monitor deployed models for drift, data quality, and KPI degradation; own remediation.
- Establish benefit baselines with business owners; partner with Finance to validate realized impact; document methodology for internal audit/SOX when financially material.
- Present findings/recommendations/model limitations to Commercial leadership.
- Build analytics for specialty launches (patient/prescriber dynamics, payer coverage/access barriers, field targeting).
- Develop portfolio and business development models (market size, entrant count, erosion trajectory, risk-adjusted return).
- Build LLM/agentic apps for commercial workflows including contract/tender/market intelligence document extraction with evaluation sets and regression testing.
Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS in CS/Stats/Econ/OR (or equivalent) required. MS/MA or PhD preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years ML production deployment; 5+ years Python/SQL (PySpark or equivalent preferred); 5+ years forecasting/pricing/econometric methods; 5+ years pharmaceutical/life sciences commercial analytics.
- Specialized knowledge/skills: Agentic LLM patterns (RAG, structured extraction, evaluation) required; partner with stakeholders to define success metrics and drive adoption required; generics market dynamics preferred; specialty/payer/access analytics preferred; IQVIA/Symphony preferred; Databricks/cloud ML preferred; causal inference preferred.
Compensation/Benefits
- Salary: $190,000–$225,000/year; plus short-term incentive/bonus or performance-based award within first 12 months.
