Responsibilities:
- Define reusable security architecture patterns/guardrails and secure-by-design initiatives.
- Represent security architecture in design authority/technical review boards; advocate for risk-based controls.
- Partner with IT/app teams to evaluate designs and define application-specific security control architectures.
- Create implementation guidance/design patterns; develop strategies to enforce security requirements and remediate risks.
- Serve as security architecture liaison to delivery/engineering; embed security into SDLC.
- Research/evaluate security technologies; assess threats; perform/drive security reviews for business & IT initiatives.
- Support application development/acquisition projects; ensure controls are implemented as planned and remediation/compliance gaps are addressed.
- Conduct application threat modeling and propose design changes to mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelorโs (9 yrs) OR Masterโs (8 yrs) OR PhD (4 yrs) in information security or related (IT Audit, Risk Mgmt, Security Architecture).
- Strong application security knowledge (OWASP Top 10, SANS/CWE Top 25), secure coding, session management, token handling, authentication (OAuth/SAML/OpenID Connect).
- Knowledge of cryptography/encryption/PKI.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP); DevSecOps/CI-CD pipeline security; code analysis and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Understanding of cloud/security areas (IAM, network security, auditing, secrets management, data protection) and Zero Trust/least privilege.
- Knowledge of federation/encryption standards; security architecture documentation/strategic plans.
- Significant SOX & HIPAA ITGC experience.
Preferred:
- CISSP.
- Plus: identity management, federated identity services, incident management, access control, application vulnerability testing, PKI, Windows/Linux, public cloud.
