Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze capital markets activity, equity/debt performance, valuation trends, competitors/peers, investor sentiment, macro conditions, and sector dynamics; communicate actionable insights to senior management.
- Support development of investor communications (press releases, investor presentations, earnings call scripts, Q&A, and other investor-facing materials).
- Review sell-side research and financial models to track rating/price target/earnings estimate/consensus changes.
- Manage IR calendar and coordinate investor conferences, events, roadshows, 1x1 meetings, and other engagements.
- Coordinate quarterly earnings processes (timelines, cross-functional work, consensus analysis, briefing prep, call logistics).
- Prepare briefing materials and meeting summaries for investor/analyst interactions.
- Maintain/enhance IR CRM database, investor targeting lists, and records.
- Maintain the IR website to keep disclosures, presentations, filings, and information accurate and up to date.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses (shareholder composition, targeting, stock/valuation, capital markets activity, financial modeling).
- Evaluate and implement AI/automation to improve efficiency and execution.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/business/economics or related proficiency.
- 2+ years relevant experience in IR/corporate finance/sell-side or buy-side (preferably biopharma).

Additional Skills/Experience:
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint (financial modeling, data analysis, executive-quality presentations).
- Experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, Visible Alpha, S&P Global, Nasdaq IR Insight, or similar platforms.
- Experience with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) for research, content, automation, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial statements/SEC filings/capital markets; strong financial modeling/valuation knowledge.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities; discretion with confidential information.
- Onsite in San Diego required; role not 100% remote.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Benefits: premium health, wellness/support programs, life insurance, disability, retirement with employer match, and generous paid time off.
- Compensation: base pay and short-term incentive plus long-term incentive (company stock). Target base pay range: $85,000–$105,000.
