About The Role
Serves as the primary alliance manager for assigned partnerships, accountable for driving alliance performance, governance, and cross-functional execution. Leads strategic and operational alignment across internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of collaboration objectives, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end alliance management for 2β4 strategic partnerships, ensuring delivery against contractual, operational, and business objectives
- Lead alliance governance (Joint Steering Committees and cross-functional working groups), shaping agendas and driving decision-making
- Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, Legal, Finance, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC) to drive alliance deliverables and resolve complex issues
- Identify, assess, and resolve complex operational and relational challenges within alliances
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and alliance agreements
- Drive accountability for alliance deliverables, ensuring timely execution and visibility to milestones, risks, and performance metrics
- Lead initiatives to enhance alliance management processes, tools, and best practices
- Contribute to alliance strategy and long-term planning; prepare alliance status updates and reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- BS/BA in a scientific or business field + 6+ years alliance management/business development/biotech-pharma experience OR
- Masterβs in a scientific or business field + 4+ years similar experience OR
- PhD + 2+ years similar experience
- Demonstrated functional expertise in biotech/pharma with scientific discipline, business development, or alliance management
- Cross-functional leadership and trusted-partner ability across internal/external stakeholders
- Anticipates risks/opportunities; recommends solutions
- Experience with contracts and knowledge of legal terminology
- Working knowledge of small molecule and biologics drug discovery and development
- Experience collaborating with global teams
- Understanding of accounting/finance principles
- High attention to detail
- Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft suite; adaptable to collaboration tools
- Strong verbal and written communication; problem-solving/analytical thinking
- Comfortable resolving conflict; meets deadlines; strong project management
Compensation/Benefits
- Base salary: $132,700.00β$182,000.00 (plus annual bonus target 30% of earned base; eligibility for equity long-term incentive)
