Area Business Leader (ABL)
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, retain, mentor, and lead a diverse team to deliver strategic sales objectives; manage KPIs and accountability.
- Set clear expectations; promote an environment of accountability; advance processes by challenging the status quo.
- Monitor and mentor Territory Account Specialists to coordinate resources and deliver effective total account call execution.
- Develop and implement customer-centric business plans with customer engagement and cross-functional partners to optimize customer experience and product demand.
- Serve on the regional leadership team to support regional goals, business execution, team development, and culture.
- Instill a customer-centric, high-performance culture that encourages speaking up, problem-solving, collaboration, experimentation, and “fail forward.”
- Apply in-depth knowledge of clinical, access, reimbursement, territory management, and omni-channel marketing tools; coach during field contacts.
- Use analytics to identify risk/opportunity and ensure appropriate deployment of face-to-face and omni-channel resources.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years as a first-line sales manager with strategic/enterprise mindset; 2+ years managing geographically dispersed sales teams.
- Proven success attracting/developing diverse talent and building high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated sales growth leadership and cross-functional partnership execution in complex, multi-regional environments.
- Must reside within territory or within 100 miles of territory border; travel 60–80% and have a valid driver’s license.
Desirable
- Experience leading teams in promotion to large practices, hospitals, IDNs, and SoC customers; understanding reimbursement (out-patient payer and in-patient DRG/Medicare).
