AI Transformation Portfolio Manager Director

Role: Director of AI Portfolio Management within Vertex’s Data, Technology and Engineering (DTE) organization, overseeing AI-driven initiatives supporting workforce transformation and enterprise data platforms. Responsibilities include portfolio planning, governance, resource alignment, financial management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication across functions such as R&D, manufacturing, and commercial. The role involves coordinating AI initiatives like enterprise data unification, AI assistants, workflow orchestration, and natural language interfaces, ensuring responsible AI practices, compliance, and lifecycle management. Qualifications: Advanced degree in biotech or IT, 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in project, program, or portfolio management, with proven vendor engagement and cross-functional leadership skills. Preferred skills include experience with enterprise AI deployments, regulatory considerations (GxP, health authority guidance), and managing AI lifecycle and operationalization in complex environments.
