AI Support Engineer (Associate-level)
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Regulatory Affairs stakeholders to understand business processes, workflows, and pain points; identify opportunities for AI/emerging technologies.
- Evaluate AI tools, platforms, and capabilities for the Regulatory Affairs function; document findings and recommendations for senior review.
- Support planning and execution of pilots, proofs of concept (POCs), and technology evaluations.
- Document business requirements, user stories, and process maps translating regulatory needs into technology solutions.
- Support process improvement by gathering data, researching, and participating in workflow analysis/optimization workshops.
- Evaluate AI use cases through responsible, ethical, and compliant practices aligned with standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Share knowledge across technology and Regulatory Affairs teams to build domain expertise.
- Maintain organized documentation (meeting notes, action items, status updates).
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years experience OR Master’s degree + 0 years experience.
- Foundational understanding of technology concepts (software applications, data management, or systems analysis).
- Exposure to process improvement methodologies or technology-related projects (academic/internship/professional).
- Familiarity with AI/ML/automation concepts and responsible AI principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with enterprise collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and proactive learning.
Preferred:
- Experience/coursework in pharmaceutical/biotech or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to Regulatory Affairs processes, regulatory submissions, or document management systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, low-code/no-code tools, or technology evaluation frameworks.
- Business analysis experience (requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, process documentation).
- Knowledge of data privacy, ethical AI, or technology governance frameworks.
- Experience with agile/scrum or other iterative delivery methodologies.
